Promotional marketing is a business strategy that involves enticing a consumer to take action whether to buy a product or not. There are several promotional marketing tools that can be used in order to attract a customer to buy a product. This may include contests, coupons, or giving away free samples, such as promotional mouse pads.

Depending on the nature of the event, promotional materials maybe required to effectively entice the buyer to buy the product. Post-its may also be needed for taking down contact numbers and addresses.

In order to pursue promotional marketing, you need to have a plan. In coming up with the plan, determine your budget, the method of marketing, and others. Next, you need to decide whether to use an in-house promotions or an external promotional agency. When choosing a company, you need to evaluate their portfolios.

Tradeshows and exhibits is an example of promotional marketing. Here you may have to set up a booth which is dependent on the space allocated by the organizer. To make sure that booth you are setting up conforms with the required measurements, use a tape measure to get the dimensions.

The kind of tools you will use will also be determined by the kind of promotional marketing event you are participating in.
